FAS was created in 2004 by Oliver Stuart-Menteth as a result of growing demand from lessors and finance houses requiring professional assistance within the aviation lease and finance sector.  The company is based in Geneva, Switzerland but operates globally with personnel based in Europe and Asia.  

The Company has witnessed steady expansion since inception primarily as a result of referrals from our current clients.  We now service the requirements of major European finance houses,lessors and airlines.

Personnel


 Managing Director – Oliver Stuart-Menteth
Prior to entering the leasing industry Oliver worked as a mechanic and engineer for Dan-Air, Cathay Pacific and Marshall Aerospace performing and certifying C/D checks and line maintenance on Aircraft such as the B707, B737, B727, Bae 146, B747 and A320. In 1995 Oliver obtained a Masters Degree in Air Transport Management (MSc) from Cranfield University.   He went on to join Avmark International as a Senior Analyst in their London office where he was responsible for completing appraisals and other airline related fleet planning projects. In 1998 Oliver joined Aircraft Leasing and Management (ALM) as their Technical Manager where he was primarily responsible for managing their portfolio of aircraft which involved negotiating leases, managing lease transactions and completing fleet planning projects.  Oliver is a certified EASA Part 66 and FAA A&P licenced engineer and is accredited by ISTAT as a Senior Certified Appraiser.  He regularly presents at conferences and publishes articles relevant to the leasing industry.  He also holds a FAA pilot licence with single and muti-engine ratings.

 Associate - Mike Oldrini
Mike has over 40 years experience in aviation having worked for various airlines (British United Airways Group, Laker Airways, Air Europe) with 15 of those years at senior executive level.  Since 1994 he has continued to provide management and technical consultative services to a variety of clients that have included Airline Operators, Aircraft Leasing Companies, Aircraft Brokers, Aviation Asset Managers, Manufacturers and Maintenance Organisations. Mike is a specialist in technical lease and project management and has a thorough knowledge of technical records and EASA/FAA legislation.



Associate – Duan XiaoGe
Duan is a certified CAAC engineer and worked previously for China Northwest Airlines for 13 years in a variety of technical roles. During his last position as Fleet Manager Engineering Duan was primarily responsible for integrating and phasing out aircraft from the fleet. He has been operating within the leasing industry since 2001 and is an extremely experienced technical representative, with a good command of English, who is able to work efficiently within a variety of roles. His ability to work in Mandarin or English is obviously of great benefit to our clients when dealing with incumbent carriers.
